Even when we are experiencing a rough patch we can find something for which we’re thankful. It may not be food or anything tangible. It may simply be our sense of humor. But whatever it is, when we share it, it nourishes the other person. One’s soul is nourished when someone cares about her or him. Nourishment comes not in WHAT we share, but THAT we share.

PRAYER: Dear God, this week I’m giving attention to what I’m thankful for—whether it is abundant or something simple and small. Help me to see it, know it and embrace it with gratitude, and then to nourish someone else in sharing it. I know the act of sharing will multiply its effect.
